BBC RADIO STAR
Radcliffe’s Radio 1 career started in 1983 when he produced sessions at Maida Vale Studios for John Peel’s show. He went on to entertain millions for many years
Mark Radcliffe’s UNE, a happy accident between man and machine. Paul S Langley provides the machines and Mark Radcliffe provides the vocals and guitars.
Radcliffe was born in Bolton, Lancashire and educated at Bolton School and the University of Manchester.
“MARK AND LARD”
Mark and Lard presented many years of afternoon radio entertainement where they continued until 26 March 2004.
Mark had this to say about “The Great Verdin Park Drive-In”:
Paul and I are so excited to be part of the open air film extravaganza and are happy to support a brave new enterprise close to home for us – especially as it is for local charities.
A big part of UNE live are the films and projections that accompany our music and so to have a huge screen like this should be fantastic. And if you don’t like us, you can always turn your car radio on and wait for the main feature!
Here we go then – embracing the new normal.
